Mission Statement
Larry Rigdon, a veteran of more than thirty years in the offshore oil industry, established Rigdon Marine because he envisioned a marine service company that could provide unprecedented levels of service, safety, efficiency, performance, and environmental responsibility. Our company is built upon the core values of Respect, Integrity, Professionalism, Teamwork, Leadership, Loyalty and Perseverance.
Rigdon Marine's operations were launched around an initial ten (10) vessel order of cutting edge platform supply vessels. Larry Rigdon commissioned Guido Perla and Associates (GPA) to design our 2600 dwt, diesel-electric platform supply vessels for operating efficiency, deadweight capacity, and versatility. Equipped with dynamic positioning class 2 (DP-2) certification, a streamlined hull for lower fuel consumption yet higher speeds under load, and over 5000 barrels of liquid mud capacity in oval, self cleaning tanks, the "Rigdon 5000" class PSVs have met all challenges. More importantly, these vessels have helped reshape customer expectations of both vessel capabilities and quality of service.
Rigdon Marine's innovative, next-generation Rigdon 5000 class deepwater platform supply vessels have ignited a technological revolution in the US offshore industry. Now, Rigdon Marine is again making waves with our new, GPA-designed 1950 dwt, DP2 "Rigdon 4000" class PSVs. Built on the same, technologically-focused philosophy as the larger Rigdon 5000 class, the Rigdon 4000 PSVs are designed to operate effectively and safely in all water depths.
And our new fleet of high capacity, deepwater capable and ultra-modern crew and fast supply vessels further enhance our ability to meet the broadest range of customer. The depth and youth of our very modern fleet also serves to provide numerous, exciting opportunities for today's forward-thinking mariners. As a result, Rigdon Marine is a very desirable place to be employed in the GOM marine transportation industry.
